Application Engineer for CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) (Malaysia)

Overview
We are looking for a passionate and driven Application Engineer (CAE) to join our dynamic team in the PJ/KL office. This role focuses on supporting Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) solutions, including structural, thermal, flow, and system simulations. You will collaborate closely with customers and internal sales teams to deliver technical expertise across both pre-sales and post-sales engagements. This is an exciting opportunity to advance your skills in engineering simulation tools and contribute to digital engineering transformation across leading manufacturing sectors in the region.
Responsibilities
- Technical Support: you will effectively meet Simcenter software portfolio (mainly Simcenter 3D and Simcenter Star-CCM+) technical support needs and communicate solutions to end-users via telephone, e-mail, and online;
- Training: you will provide training courses for our customers: onsite, at our in-house training facility, and over the internet;
- Applications Engineering: you will get to travel to customer manufacturing facilities to install Simcenter software and run test programs on their machines to prove the software capabilities;
- Demonstrations: you will provide technical pre-sales support demonstration and competitive analysis (benchmarking).
- To conduct pre-sales, project management, training, technical & post-implementation support activities for each project.
Requirements
- Candidate must be passionate with experience in engineering simulation or related field.
- Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is an added advantage.
- Fresh graduate with a minimum Bachelor’s Degree certificate in Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering. Master degree is recommended.
- Able to work independently with minimum guidance.
- Interested in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), but no need to be expert in it.
- Possess valid driver’s license and own transport.
Skill
- Demonstrate good phone/email/text communication and onsite/online presentation skills
- Fluent in English written and verbal is essential
- Proficiency in essential computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Self-disciplined, Positive attitude and good team player
